The Lord and Discipleship

Christ’s twelve disciples stayed with Him and were profoundly influenced. They acquired His personality, received His Holy Spirit and developed His thinking and mind. Even outsiders noticed that impression:

X   (Mark 3:14 NKJV) Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach

X   (Acts 4:13 NKJV) Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.


This is how Christianity spread in its early centuries, in a sequence of discipleship:

X   (John 15:27 NKJV) And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

X   (Acts 17:6 NKJV) “These who have turned the world upside down … ”
